When Detour Maps opened its doors on this iconic street in 2007, we didn’t just establish a business—we planted roots in a community. 22nd Street became our home, our starting point, and the place where we learned the most important lesson: neighborhoods aren’t just places on a map, they’re stories woven by the people who live there.

Years later, as we expanded our vision with DM Shop Marketplace, we asked ourselves: How can we capture the essence of each neighborhood? How do we turn memories into tangible objects that neighbors can carry with them?
The answer was in our origins.
